In 2011, Ozzy Osbourne addressed the subject of his own funeral while answering a reader in his Doctor Ozzy advice column for The Times. Rather than describing a solemn ceremony, the heavy metal legend imagined an event that sounded unmistakably like him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I don\u2019t want my funeral to be sad. I want it to be a time to say thanks,\u201d Osbourne wrote, turning a difficult subject into a surprisingly tender message for those closest to him.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prince of Darkness had spent decades building a reputation around theatrical fear, wild unpredictability, and music that often confronted death directly. Yet when considering his own ending, Ozzy did not want the people he loved trapped inside a room defined by grief.<\/span><\/p>\n
